Hydroxatone – Does Hydroxatone Work?

Tiny crow’s feet by my eyes….some fine lines around the corners of my mouth…is that a real wrinkle up there on my forehead…these thoughts all went through my mind when I took a good look in the mirror when I turned 40.

That’s not old, is it?

Heck, I keep hearing that 40 is the new 20!  So why did I look like I traded faces with my mother?  Time to start caring more for my skin, especially on my face!  In keeping with that resolution, I began to search for information on the best solutions.

One product that kept turning up was Hydroxatone so I decided to dig a little deeper.  The first thing I did was look up all the Hydroxatone “instant wrinkle filler” reviews that I could find.  To be honest, it took a little while to get under all the affiliate reviews to find real users but I finally did.  And I was kind of shocked on what I kept seeing.

One woman used only the Hydroxatone eye cream and she said that it got rid of the dark circles under her eyes that she’s had for years.  More reviews were about the Hydroxatone face cream, though, particularly the new AM/PM Anti Wrinkle Formula.  Almost every woman who had tried this product for a month reported smoother skin with Hydroxatone.  Over 75% of the ones I found reported even greater benefits after using the cream for 60-90 days.

That’s pretty powerful stuff!

I don’t know about you but I’m one of those people who thinks plastic surgery is overkill for a few wrinkles.  Maybe if I looked like an old prune, but to go under the knife and risk danger just to get rid of some fine lines and crow’s feet?  No, thank you!

Okay, okay…I admit that I thought about it for half a second.  It sounds so easy to just get all the signs of aging erased.  What the ads don’t tell you is that there is a recovery period where you are in pain, your face is swollen and even possibly bruised.  Then there are lots of dangers that aren’t always made clear – like infections and scarring.  Much rather have the wrinkles than scars, wouldn’t you?

Even though there were tons of Hydroxatone “instant wrinkle filler” reviews that were positive, I still wanted to know more details before I placed an order so I went directly to hydroxatone.com to see what the company said about their product.  That way, I could see exactly what they put into Hydroxatone cream and make sure that it wasn’t anything that would bother my sensitive skin.

First, I noted that they actually have a sensitive skin formula so that was a big plus for me.  Then I looked at the ingredients and found several that I know are beneficial including hyaluronic acid which helps the skin to retain moisture.  There were a couple ingredients that I wasn’t familiar with but when I looked them up, they have study results to back up the claims.

Argireline, or acetyl hexapeptide-8, has been shown to help fight visible signs of aging, like the fine lines around my mouth.  The formula used in Hydroxatone is their own scientifically designed advanced peptide complex.  Matrixyl 3000 is the other ingredient that helps make Hydroxatone so effective.  This was shown to actually reverse the visible signs of aging by reducing the appearance of wrinkles by almost half.

After seeing all the research and the happy customers, I made up my mind to order a jar of Hydroxatone AM/PM Anti Wrinkle Cream to give it a try.  Turns out the company offers a free trial of the product which was a pleasant surprise.

You pay only shipping & handling, which is less than $10, and you can try the Hydroxatone cream for up to 30 days before actually paying for it.  If you don’t start seeing a difference in the appearance and feel of your skin, all you do is send the bottle back to them – even if it’s empty – and you won’t have to pay another dime.  You only get billed if you keep it and from what I can tell, most people do keep it

Hydroxatone Ingredients

What is Hydroxatone? With so many cosmetics that have dangerous ingredients in the market, it’s legitimate to want to know Hydroxatone ingredients.

Let’s first have a look at the general problem of wrinkles and how it happens so that you can understand how the ingredients work. As you grow older, your skin starts to retain less and less moisture than it optimally would. Look at a baby’s face for instance. Even without a drop of baby oil, their skin is still nice and elastic.

For you to achieve that as you grow older, you’d have to have lived on a diet that supports cell elasticity for many years. The diet has to support cell production of collagen, the main skin elasticity ingredient. The problem is that many of us don’t – we simply live life until one day we wake up and realize that we have wrinkles.

Hydroxatone is tested for safety and you are guaranteed that there are no ingredients in it that will harm your skin.

    • Hyaluronic acid

This particular ingredient is the one that addresses skin dryness, which is actually a direct cause of wrinkles. If you kept a soft and supple skin throughout, you wouldn’t have wrinkles. Since your skin is not doing this, Hyaluronic acid helps speed up moisturization.

        • Matrixyl 3000

This is a safe ingredient that decreases the volume and therefore the appearance of wrinkles on your face. It speeds up the production of collagen, leading to a skin that looks a lot less wrinkly and much younger.

            • Argireline

A dry skin always has a look of tension which dries it up even further. If you can get it to relax, which is what Argireline does, you will have a much younger looking and more moisturized skin. The result, of course is a reduction of reduction of wrinkles.

                • Skin Anti-oxidants

They are responsible for many things in your skin. They speed up the production of collagen. They keep your skin looking moist and smooth. You can get them from food sources, but you would have to eat sufficient quantities and do that consistently. In Hydroxatone, there are antioxidants present to support all the cell functions that give you a younger look and also enable you to get rid of wrinkles. If you find that you are not able to keep yourself on a consistent antioxidant diet, compensate for that with hydroxatone daily essential vitamins.

Allu and Hydroxatone do get compared quite a bit; they are both great skin care agents for reducing wrinkles but the one thing that Allu does that Hydroxatone wont is act as a skin lightener.

There are also comparisons with CellTrixa, a new cream in the market that is supposed to get rid of stretch marks. Experts tell us that stretch marks are for life, so be careful what you try to get rid of them. One of the little known and best ways to get rid of stretch marks is to stay at your optimum weight – you won’t pull or let your skin sag so much that you have the appearance of stretch marks.

You can be sure that all Hydroxanate ingredients are tested for safety, will not clog your pores and will not harm you in any way.

Skin Care: From an Inner Radiance to an Outer Glow

                  2011 July 5
                  by Sarah

When we were young, our mothers may have told us to take care of our skin, but did we listen? Or did we spend our summers baking in the sun and our winters bracing against the cold and frost with nary a sign of moisturizer? Even if we abused our skin in our youth, the good news is that it’s never too late to begin a good anti-aging skin care regimen. Just like we’ve made it a habit to watch calories and get regular dental check-ups, we can develop the habit of good skin care. When we do, our inner radiance will be reflected in our outer glow.

                  Cleansing

The first element of a good skin care regimen is regularly cleansing our skin. That doesn’t mean scrubbing your face with a bar of soap in the shower; it means treating your skin – all of it – to the pampering it deserves.

For the face, it’s important to use a mild cleanser, and to use it at least twice a day, morning and night. Aveeno, Olay, and Biore, for example, all offer cleansers for various skin types that are gentle. They even have cleansing cloths, which makes developing a twice-daily cleansing routine even easier.

For the hands, use mild, antibacterial hand soap. Keep some hand sanitizer in your purse for those times when water isn’t available. Keeping your hands clean is important to prevent spreading viruses and germs, but keep in mind that washing with harsh soaps can dry out your skin.

For the rest of your body, make it a point to exfoliate at least once a week. You can use a loofa sponge or a soft scrubber that will slough off the dead skin cells and leave you with a healthy glow. Again, choose a cleanser that is mild and hypoallergenic.

                  Moisturizing

The second element of a good anti-aging skin care regimen is moisturizing. Always, always, always moisturize your face both in the morning and at night. Choose an oil-free moisturizer with UV protection for daytime, and a penetrating moisturizer for the night. Again, Aveeno, Olay, and Biore – as well as other manufacturers – offer terrific products that fit every skin type.

When it comes to moisturizing, don’t neglect your hands. As we age our skin loses its elasticity and its natural moisture, so it’s up to us to replenish it. Again, use an oil-free hand cream during the day, and keep a small dispenser at your desk or in your purse. Make it a habit to use lotion several times each day.

The same holds true for the rest of your body. When your skin is properly hydrated, you’ll feel better and look better. Find a full body lotion that you love, and apply it liberally when you get out of the shower in the morning, and again at night before you go to bed.

Choose your skin care products as carefully as you’d choose your hair care products, fragrance, make-up, and wardrobe. When you’re looking for skin care products, and online drugstore gives you the chance to peruse a wide variety of products from many manufacturers from the comfort of your own home. Once you purchase the products, though, it’s up to you to develop the great skin care habits that will transform your inner radiance into an outer glow.

Skin Care – Control Body Odor

                  2011 June 30
                  by Sarah

Sweat controls our body temperature. Sweat also is responsible for body odor. When bacteria react with sweat, it produces odor. Similarly pheromones that are emitted by apocrine glands also have an odor. Let us find out how to control excess sweat and control body odor.

Skin care- how sweat produces odor?

Eccrine sweat is produced by eccrine sweat glands that are distributed all over the body. This sweat that is mainly water with very small amount of salt, sugar, urea etc. is odorless. As this sweat appears on the skin surface it softens the epidermal keratin producing smell as a result. Bacteria feed upon the keratin and sweat and produce odor. In other areas of body, such as armpit, the skin is folded and moist and warm. That is the ideal place for bacteria to feed upon sweat and produce odor. Apocrine glands are mainly located around area such as scalp, groin and armpits. They produce fatty sweat with pheromones. Bacteria again break down this sweat and result is bad odor. The excess of sweat and /or bacteria can produce more body odor. The obvious solution to body odor is therefore- reduction or drying of excess sweat as soon as possible and keeping the skin free of bacteria. Here you should note that if you have any yeast infection, that can worsen the odor.

Skin care and control of sweat and odor-

Control sweat with antiperspirants. If you are having the problem of excess sweating, please consult your doctor who will suggest other methods such as botox injections and other methods. Washing body with antibacterial soap is a good idea. Keep skin dry as much as possible and change clothes that may be been worn while you had sweat because clothes continue to carry sweat producing bacteria until they are washed.. Clothes may have dried, but they carry the stench of sweat with them. Please change clothes after any activity that produces sweat. Some foods such as caffinated drinks, garlic, onions may add to sweat smell or excess sweating. Avoid these foods. Control sweat, control bacteria and keep body dry to keep yourself smelling fresh at all the times for better skin care.

Summer Skin Care: Avoiding Burns and Bites

                  2011 June 27
                  by Sarah

After being cooped up all winter with the cold and all spring with the rain, we look forward to those long, lazy, sun-filled summer days. But if you are not prepared to protect yourself from sunburn and insect bites, you may find the summer season something to avoid rather than enjoy.

Sunlight generates ultraviolet radiation that can lead to cancer and damage to the eyes. In fact, in 2002 the National Institutes of Health added UV radiation to the list of identified carcinogens in America. People who work outdoors, babies, senior citizens and those with fair skin and light-colored eyes are at higher risk for skin cancer.

Another summertime danger is insect bites. Mosquitoes, ants, spiders, bees and fleas are particularly obnoxious – and they are everywhere. Their bites can cause symptoms ranging from swelling, pain and itchiness to life-threatening allergic reactions.

To protect yourself from these dangers, follow the ABCs of summer skin care:

                  * Avoid the sun, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun is at its brightest. Take your daily walk in the morning or late afternoon. Many insects breed in water, so stay away from stagnant pools and soggy grass.

                  * Block sunlight with a sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher. Apply sunblock half an hour before going out and reapply every couple of hours.

                  * Cover up. Wear loose-fitting, tightly woven clothes that reach your wrists and ankles; UV-protected sunglasses; and hats with 4-inch brims to cover eyes, ears, scalp and neck. Insects are attracted to bright colors and strong perfumes, so dress neutrally and go easy on scents.

                  * Defend yourself. Use a spray to repel bugs. One to try is Hamba Suka Natural Insect Repellent, from the Molo Africa line of products, an all-natural spray made with high-quality essential oils. This is a 100 percent natural product that repels insects such as ants, fleas, mosquitoes and flies. The spray contains no poisons or harmful chemicals.
